When a kid is bullied, the effects are often very detrimental and have lasting impacts on kids and adults alike. Being resilient and getting back up after others try and knock you down is something that is taught to us throughout our life, but putting it into practice can prove to be one of the hardest things to do. Devin Moore however, is a perfect example of how to handle hardships like this.
After being cyberbullied by three former classmates Devin took the high road, and knew that he didn’t want another kid to go through what he had gone through. Devin is the Suffolk County Anti-bullying Task Force Youth Leader (the first of its kind in Suffolk County) and advocate for SuffolkStopBullying which promotes bullying awareness and has partnered with Parents Against Bullying VA to combat bullying throughout the states. Not only is he providing support and awareness around such a serious issue but he is making huge efforts in getting a statewide anti-bullying law passed. He works closely with county and state legislators in his efforts to raise awareness and combat the harsh outcome bullying has in a lasting way. Devin, we recognize you for your unbelievable compassion and commitment to making your state and our world a better place.
